Hats off to Edward Enninful! Having collaborated with him for quite some time, I can attest to his genuine kindness and grounded nature. The transformative impact he has had on British Vogue and the fashion industry at large has left me utterly impressed. Participating in this extraordinary shoot left me speechless and in awe - to see 40 powerful women come together in tribute is nothing short of remarkable. Despite my initial nervousness, the camaraderie among everyone made the experience seamless and enjoyable.
As Oprah remarked, only Edward Enninful could manage to gather 40 influential women to converge in NYC for his farewell issue of British Vogue.
It marks the end of an era. Over his tenure spanning six and a half years and featuring 153 cover stars, including the 40 legendary women captured together in New York for our March 2024 issue, Edward Enninful presents his 76th and final edition of British Vogue.
United by greatness, purpose, and previous cover appearances, a sisterhood of luminaries convened for this once-in-a-lifetime photoshoot. When the concept for the cover first arose, one question loomed large: Would 40 of the most sought-after and revered women in the world manage to gather in one Manhattan studio on a December day to create one collective image? Spoiler alert: they did. Hailing from London, New York, Paris, Milan, and Los Angeles, they seemed to materialize from a dream.
